VVUtrecht, the third largest volleyball club in Holland, wants its own sports hall. That needed an innovative concept, to get a competitive edge for the time slots that VVU does not use the hall for its own practice or games. A versatile LED floor was one of the ideas and various parties were approached to see if this concept could be brought to life. SIKA, market leader with Pulastic sports floors and developer of the award winning iSpace concept for school gyms, and LumenArt were interested and started with the technical development of a prototype. It will take some R&D time before the floor will be a reality, but in this phase we are working on business cases and applications for sports and new innovative concepts for different target groups.
