Jos van Hout

Born in 1960. I started as a designer in advertising in 1983,  growing to an allround communications professional, working for medium to large clients. Please take a look at Click Communicatie for my professional work.

Ever since my high school days, I have been making drawings, calligraphy, photographs. Some results of that journey are shown in the section Portfolio.

As from 1980 I have been writing lyrics and composing music. Playing in several bands for over 20 years, I developed some skills on guitar and keyboards. And because recording is easy nowadays, you can listen to a number of songs in Music.

​

In 2020 I bought a house that needed an upgrade. I did most of the work myself, loving to do woodwork - what’s in a name? - and solving the puzzles that daily cross your path when you encounter a project like this. Building.

 

Graphic design, writing, illustrations: it all comes together in creating books. So I did a few of those: Books.

I play volleyball and am a youth trainer (indoor and beach) and volunteer for the youth department of VVUtrecht, one the most thriving volleyball clubs in the Netherlands.

​

I live in De Bilt with my wife Marit. My four children and her two are all living close by, in the city of Utrecht.
