Valice If your teenage daughter struggles with life and you can’t help her - unless she would let you in. My words are put to music by my very talented daughter Tess and recorded in 2017 with her band Valice.

For another Valice clip, Seven Days, I helped out by visualising the backgrounds. There’s more of Valice on Spotify and on YouTube.

ClickSounds In 2003 I started ClickSounds, trying to expand the communications business that I was in. With Peter Fokkema, then a band member in our cover band Johnny & the Bravo’s, we tried to make soundscapes and loops for websites and other digital productions. Commercially that wasn’t a success, to say the least ;-). But we did have a good time and a great learning experience with it - and managed to make a few songs next to the business things we tried.

Peter wrote the music to my lyrics and played all instruments of the first three songs:

Like to know you Someone makes an impression - and you fantasize about what she would be like. But it doesn’t come to that. Maybe some other time.

Choice Trying to convince a love to fight for what you have, instead of going to someone new. The same lyrics are used in another song, on album 4.

Take-off Someone gets into your life, but has to dissapear to find herself first, before she can commit to something new.

GN Blues In 1990, copiers producer Gestetner took over Nashua. Gestetner was far bigger than Nasua worldwide, except in Holland. That was a cultural problem. With my communications agency I worked for Nashua, and a song, performed by a band of employees and singers from both sides, could help the parties get closer together. So I wrote GN Blues, performed by the GN Gentlemen, recorded at Jan Vis Studio in Rosmalen and produced by Peter Vincent.

Hoi - by Tess - Demo produced by Ernst Teule. My daughter Tess, then 10 years old, wanted to participate in The Voice Kids. She wrote the music herself, I helped with the lyrics and Ernst recorded the demo. Out of 1100 contestants, she reached the top ten in 2004. The final version of Hoi on the NL album.
